QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Frequently asked questions about MAX channel ratings
How are MAX channel ratings compiled?
datool.ru collects public MAX channels: subscribers, posts, views and reactions. From this data six ratings are recalculated every hour — by subscribers, 7-day growth, weekly views, engagement, quality index and citation index. Each has 100 places; the full rating can be narrowed by category and channel size or opened as a table with all metrics at once.
Which MAX channels are the largest?
By subscribers, the top places now belong to MAX • Анонсы (3 709 441), Central TikTok (1 525 115) and Мир сегодня с Юрием Подолякой (1 468 186). To get into the top hundred, a channel needs at least 228 947 subscribers.
Which MAX channels are growing fastest?
The most subscribers over the last 7 days were gained by Ozon Банк (+34 431), Математик Андрей (+26 866) and СКВИШИ ИЗ БУМАГИ 💜 (+25 018). The growth rating includes channels that had at least 1 000 subscribers a week ago, so a tiny channel that doubled does not overtake a large one.
Which MAX channels are read the most?
The most post views for 18–24 October went to РИА Новости (171.6 M), СОЛОВЬЁВ (91.7 M) and RT на русском (85.4 M). All of a channel's posts over the last seven full days are counted.
What is channel engagement (ER)?
ER is the number of reactions per hundred post views over a week. The higher it is, the more actively the audience responds to posts. The engagement rating includes channels with at least 50 000 views a week and some reactions — otherwise a tiny channel with a couple of reactions would come first.
What are the quality index and the citation index?
The quality index is a number from 0 to 100: whether the channel is alive, grows honestly and how much advertising it carries; 70 and above is good, 85 and above is high (how it is calculated). The citation index shows how often and how widely other MAX channels mention and repost the channel over 30 days (methodology).
How do I see a channel rating for a topic?
In the full rating, pick a category in the “Category” field — only channels of that topic remain; channel size narrows the list to the subscriber range you need. The “Best in category” block on this page shows the largest channel of the eight biggest topics, and all topics with their ratings are on the “MAX channel categories” page.
Why can't I see every place in the rating?
Without signing in, the cards show the first 3 places and the full rating shows the first 10. After free registration you see ten leaders in every card and all 100 places of the full rating.
How does a channel get into the MAX ratings?
No application is needed: the ratings include every public channel datool.ru collects. If a channel is not on the site yet, add it by link — after the first collection it takes its place in every metric.
How often are the ratings updated?
Places are recalculated every hour. Channel subscribers and posts are updated by datool.ru collection: large channels every few minutes, small ones once a day. Growth, views and ER cover the last seven full days, the citation index covers 30 days.
