Озеров призвал не передёргивать факты и подчеркнул, что подобные заявления никак не могут быть исторической правдой. Есть множество документальных свидетельств, рассказывающих о начале конфликта и его зачинщиках.
"Была издана "Белая книга", где рассказано о том, как это происходило, и кто кого вырезал (с материалами, документами и свидетельствами о действиях и преступлениях против гражданского населения – прим. ред.). Поэтому здесь передёргивать не надо. Люди помнят Бендерскую трагедию, в ходе которой было убито около 500 человек. И в целом то, что тогда произошло. Это же не в Кишиневе, а здесь убивали. И остановлено это было 14-ой армией генерала Лебедя. Если бы не его вмешательство, эта резня могла бы продолжаться, но она была остановлена", – сказал дипломат.
Он напомнил, что тогда не просто были прекращены боевые действия. Президенты России (Ельцин) и Молдовы (Снегур) поставили свои подписи под Соглашением о принципах мирного урегулирования конфликта.
"Этот документ имеет международно-правовой характер, и он действует до сих пор. Поэтому это является международной правовой базой, одним из краеугольным камнем для урегулирования Приднестровского конфликта", – добавил российский посол Олег Озеров.
