Основная задача мембраны — создать сплошной и герметичный барьер, который защитит утеплитель и деревянные элементы конструкции от ветра и влаги. Капельник (металлическая планка) служит для отвода воды от края кровли, и если просто зафиксировать мембрану на нём скобами, остаются зазоры и неплотности. Через эти уязвимые места:
Влага может проникнуть внутрь. Дождь, снег или конденсат способны намочить утеплитель, что резко снизит его теплоизоляционные свойства.
Утеплитель потеряет эффективность. Намокание минеральной ваты или пенополистирола делает их бесполезными для сохранения тепла.
Возникнет риск гниения и появления плесени. Повышенная влажность — прямой путь к порче деревянных элементов каркаса и образованию грибка.
