Форма: to do, to go, to read

Часто означает:

цель
намерение
будущее действие

👉Примеры:

I want to eat. (Я хочу поесть.)

She decided to study. (Она решила учиться.)

I went to the shop to buy milk. (Я пошёл в магазин, чтобы купить молоко.)


🔹 Герундий (Gerund) — глагол + ing

Форма: doing, going, reading

Чаще означает:

процесс
опыт
общее действие

👉Примеры:

I like reading. (Мне нравится чтение / читать.)

She enjoys dancing. (Ей нравится танцевать.)

Swimming is good for you. (Плавание полезно.)


⚡ Важно:

После некоторых глаголов используется только одна форма:

✔ want, decide, plan → to + verb
✔ enjoy, avoid, finish → verb + ing

Пример:

I enjoy watching movies.
I decided to watch a movie.

Главное различие (самое важное)

📌 Past Simple = что произошло

📌 Past Continuous = что происходило в момент

🔸 Сравнение:
I watched TV. → факт: я смотрел телевизор и все тут.

I was watching TV at 8 p.m. → процесс: я смотреееел телевизор именно в 8 вечера.


💡Разберем теперь в обычных жизненных ситуациях

🏠 Ситуация 1: Телефонный звонок

Ты спокойно чем-то занимаешься, и вдруг — событие.

I was taking a shower when the phone rang.

🔹 was taking — процесс, длился
🔹 rang — короткое событие, прервало процесс

🧠 Представь фон + точку:
фон → Past Continuous
точка → Past Simple


🍽 Ситуация 2:
Ужин
Ты описываешь что происходило, а не просто факт.

We were having dinner at 7 p.m.
(в этот момент мы были в процессе)

Но если просто факт:
We had dinner at 7 p.m.
(поели — и всё)


🚶‍♂️ Ситуация 3:
Прогулка и случайность

I was walking in the park when I met my teacher.

🔹 прогулка — процесс
🔹 встреча — мгновенное событие
