🚢ВМС Литвы почти за 50 млн евро купят судно для операций на Балтике
Новый корабль, заказанный у нидерландской компании Damen Workboats, заменит устаревшее судно Šakiai.
"Корабль Šakiai, находившийся в эксплуатации почти 40 лет, больше не соответствует современным функциональным и техническим требованиям. Новый корабль будет более чем в два раза быстрее, что позволит быстрее реагировать на экологические катастрофы. В условиях гибридных угроз разлив загрязняющих веществ может нарушить работу Клайпедского порта, поэтому этот корабль важен для устойчивости и снабжения страны как в мирное время, так и во время кризисов. Он также позволит проводить более детальные морские исследования и будет служить целям ВМС Литвы", - сказал глава МО Робертас Каунас.
ЕС выделил на приобретение судна около 40 млн евро, Литва внесет около 9,5 млн.

Как заявили в армии, власти собираются осуществлять переход к всеобщей воинской повинности постепенно.
