В акции участвуют кредитные и торговые организации, условия приема монеты определяются участниками самостоятельно и размещаются на сайте монетнаянеделя.рф. Банк России обеспечивает сопровождение акции, включая подготовку и предоставление информационных материалов для
размещения в торговых организациях, а также проведение рекламной кампании, в том числе в средствах массовой информации.
Акция позволяет участникам снизить расходы на перевозку
и инкассацию монет. Кроме того, поступление монеты при проведении акций дает возможность торговым организациям подготовиться к пиковому спросу на монету в периоды внутренних кампаний и календарных праздничных дней.
