Появились новые подробности о фильме по Elden Ring от A24. По данным Deadline, сценарий Алекса Гарленда занимает минимум 180 страниц (с учётом визуальных материалов), а это значит, что картина может растянуться почти до трёх часов. Самый длинный из прежних фильмов Гарленда как режиссёра — «Аннигиляция» на 115 минут (по данным Polygon). Часть объёма могут сократить при монтаже.
Ещё одна новость — деньги. Amazon MGM купила права на показ после проката (Pay-1) в ряде международных рынков; по предположению источников Deadline, сделка стоит десятки миллионов долларов. Возможны «интересные активации» на Twitch, который принадлежит Amazon. Бюджет фильма, по оценке Deadline, от 175 до 200 млн долларов, ближе к верхней границе, — это самый дорогой фильм A24.

Имя в WoW: Forever заранее — только с набором от $30
В World of Warcraft: Forever открыли создание персонажей и резерв имён — чтобы не тратить на это время в день запуска. Игра выйдет 4 ноября на PC (пишет GameSpot).
Есть условие: чтобы занять имя заранее, нужно предустановить игру в Battle.net и купить как минимум набор Skyborne Heroic Pack за $30 — он открывает новую расу, эльфов Skyborne. До запуска можно создать и назвать до трёх персонажей. Имя теперь из двух частей: нужны и имя, и фамилия.
Резерв имени — только с набором за $30, остальным остаётся день запуска. Классика MMO.
Персонажей надо создавать на тех правилах (ruleset), на которых вы собираетесь играть: после запуска перенести их на другие правила нельзя. На PvP-правилах на одном сервере можно создавать персонажей только одной фракции — Альянса или Орды. Ещё Blizzard выпустила PvP-ролик под нью-метал в исполнении Эми Ли, Poppy и Кортни ЛаПлант, а GameSpot отмечает, что впервые в истории WoW в игру можно будет полностью играть с геймпада.
Студия Warhorse подверглась кибератаке: она делает Kingdom Come и RPG по «Властелину колец»
Warhorse Studios, авторы Kingdom Come: Deliverance, сообщила, что подверглась кибератаке. В заявлении, которое вышло 27 октября в 11:00 по Гринвичу (14:00 по Москве), студия говорит, что работает со специалистами по кибербезопасности: нужно защитить системы и понять, что именно произошло. На момент публикации Eurogamer новых заявлений не было.
Глава студии Мартин Фривальдский в материале чешского издания назвал это «серьёзным инцидентом для Warhorse Studios и для всех, кого он затронул». Первоочередная задача — защитить системы, определить полный масштаб взлома и защитить сотрудников, партнёров и сообщество.
Пока известно одно: подробностей студия не раскрыла. Остаётся ждать следующего заявления.
Сейчас Warhorse делает сразу две игры: RPG с открытым миром по «Властелину колец» и новое приключение в мире Kingdom Come (Eurogamer предполагает, что это Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3). Кроме того, студия участвует в создании фильма по Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Над Switch смеялись 10 лет назад — а он продал 156 миллионов
В октябре 2016 года Nintendo показала Switch — и в успех консоли мало кто верил. Предыдущий Wii U разошёлся тиражом всего 13,5 млн — после Virtual Boy это вторая по продажам худшая консоль Nintendo. В анонсирующем ролике не было ни детей, ни красно-синих Joy-Con, ставших визитной карточкой: Nintendo продавала консоль как гаджет для взрослых — с вечеринками на крыше. Среди игр показали шестилетний Skyrim и NBA 2K18, а ещё Splatoon на киберспортивной арене.
Switch не был мощным — зато продался тиражом, о котором Wii U даже не мечтал.
Skyrim вышел в 2011-м, и с тех пор у Nintendo появились три консоли — Wii U, Switch и Switch 2 (в 2025-м), — а The Elder Scrolls 6 всё нет. Зато Mario, Zelda и Mario Kart остаются главными продавцами консолей, как и в 2016-м.
До выхода GTA 6 осталось меньше месяца, и рынок труда уже это чувствует. По данным HR-сервиса BambooHR (со ссылкой на Money.com), заявок на отгул на 19 ноября — день релиза — на 9–17% больше, чем в обычный третий четверг ноября.
Точно сказать, что все эти люди берут день ради Вайс-Сити, нельзя. Но логика простая: 19 ноября — дата выхода игры. Экономисты оценивают потери выработки в США примерно в 1 млрд долларов.
19 ноября будет много «семейных обстоятельств». У всех — одно и то же: Вайс-Сити.
Игра выйдет 19 ноября на PS5 и Xbox Series X|S, а ПК-версию, по слухам, ждут в начале 2027-го. Накануне, 18 ноября, баскетбольный «Майами Хит» сыграет с «Милуоки Бакс» как «Вайс-Сити Хит»: в форме по мотивам GTA 6 и на специальном паркете в стиле игры (по данным IGN).
Microsoft предлагает уйти каждому четвёртому сотруднику
Microsoft запустила «добровольный выход» (Voluntary Exit Offer): по данным Business Insider, предложение доступно примерно 60 000 сотрудников — это около 25% всего штата. Об этом объявила в служебной записке Amy Coleman, директор по персоналу Microsoft.
Программа ограничена по времени и по кругу людей: она для сотрудников уровня 70 и ниже в США, Канаде, Великобритании и Индии. Условия похожи на выходное пособие, а решить нужно до начала декабря. Часть подразделений от предложения отказалась — участвует ли Xbox и его студии, пока неясно.
На ИИ — миллиарды, а каждому четвёртому сотруднику — вежливое предложение уйти.
Для Xbox это не первая встряска: в этом году там уже планировали сократить 3 200 человек и перестроили студии. Double Fine, Compulsion Games и Undead Labs с тех пор стали независимыми, а судьба Arkane Lyon и Ninja Theory остаётся шаткой. Как отмечает CNBC, выкуп объявили на фоне огромных трат Microsoft на генеративный ИИ (по данным Eurogamer).

Ubisoft и Ubisoft Quebec выпустили последнее крупное обновление для Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: 27 октября в игре появился New Game+. Ремейк доступен на PS5, Xbox Series и ПК — в Steam и Epic Games Store.
Пройти игру заново можно до пяти раз — «New Game+++++». С каждым кругом море опаснее: элитные солдаты встречаются чаще, а по воде начинают патрулировать корабли максимального ранга. Сложность растёт при каждом новом заходе.
