📍 Где посмотреть: Выставка открыта в Старочеркасском музее-заповеднике. Важно отметить, что экспозиция организована совместно с Донским Старочеркасским Ефремовским мужским монастырём — в том самом месте, которое было так дорого сердцу батюшки.
🗓 Выставка начала работу 20 октября 2026 года и продлится ориентировочно до марта 2027 года. У вас есть возможность прийти и посмотреть всё своими глазами.
📅 Отец Модест родился 20 ноября 1926 года. Его жизнь — это пример удивительного служения: он возрождал разрушенные храмы и монастыри Дона, а главным его даром была любовь к людям.
🖼 Название выставки — «Добрый пастырь, человек, который умел любить» — не просто красивые слова. Вспоминая батюшку, его духовные чада отмечают, что он обладал редким даром — видеть в каждом человеке образ Божий, независимо от его жизненного пути.
🏛 Особое место в его судьбе занимает Свято-Донской Старочеркасский монастырь. Именно отец Модест стал его первым наместником в 1994 году. Он буквально поднял обитель из руин, несмотря на болезни и сопротивление властей.
Говорят, что когда ему угрожали снести строящийся корпус бульдозером, старец спокойно отвечал: «Пришлёте бульдозеры — я лягу под них». Эта сила духа сочеталась в нём с детской простотой и невероятной теплотой.
🍰 Многие вспоминают, что батюшка любил угощать людей. Он сам часто готовил еду и угощал всех, кто приходил к нему за утешением. Его жизненное кредо звучало просто: «Возлюби ближнего — и Господь возлюбит тебя».

26 октября 2026 года, в день празднования Иверской иконы Божией Матери, по благословению главы Донской митрополии, митрополита Ростовского и Новочеркасского Меркурия, наместник Донского Старочеркасского Ефремовского мужского монастыря игумен Сергий (Коломиц) принял участие в Епархиальной монашеской конференции «Христианское учение о человеке и вызовы современных технологий». Мероприятие прошло в актовом зале Екатеринодарской духовной семинарии г. Краснодара в рамках регионального этапа XXXV Международных Рождественских образовательных чтений.
В день конференции участники молились за Божественной литургией в Свято-Троицком соборе г. Краснодара.
Работа конференции началась с приветственного слова первого проректора семинарии иерея Александра Ливенского. С докладами выступили представители духовенства Кубанской и Донской митрополий. Игумен Сергий (Коломиц) представил доклад на тему «Забота игумена о духовном возрастании братии. Практические аспекты».
Также в ходе работы конференции прозвучали доклады: игумена Никона (Бачманова) об особенностях личной аскезы в современных условиях, игумении Наталии (Мехонцевой) о молитвенном делании и телесных трудах, иеромонаха Митрофана (Гавриша) о крещальном обете и монашеском пути. Каждое выступление сопровождалось живой дискуссией и ответами на вопросы.
Конференция стала важной площадкой для обмена духовным опытом среди монашествующих, обсуждения актуальных вопросов монашеской жизни и укрепления братского общения в преддверии Международных Рождественских образовательных чтений.
На пороге каждого дня говори: «Да будет воля Твоя, Отче!». И на пороге каждой грядущей ночи говори: «Да будет воля Твоя, Отче!».
Уходя на работу и приходя с работы, опять то же говори: «Да будет воля Твоя, Отче!». И когда ты здорова, и когда одолеет болезнь, говори: «Да будет воля Твоя, Отче!».
И наконец, когда пробьет неизбежный час и ты лицом к лицу встретишься с Ангелом смерти, скажи смело: «Да будет воля Твоя, Отче мой и Боже мой!».
Каждый человек знает, что такое хороший поступок, а что такое плохой. То, что плохо, делать легко; то, что хорошо, делать трудно. Ломать всегда легче, чем строить. Работать трудно, проще жить за чужой счет: пришел, перекантовался, поел, поговорил и ушел. Вроде бы день прожит, а что ты сделал за этот день? Ничего. И большинство людей стремятся к такой жизни, чисто животной. Животное никогда не будет трудиться, если у него есть пища. Если кота кормить, он мышей ловить не будет. Кот не может понять, зачем ловить мышей, когда он сыт. С точки зрения кота это сущее безумие, а с точки зрения человека наоборот. Он должен все время себя понуждать, и не только на труд телесный, но прежде всего на труд духовный.
25 октября 2026 года, в Неделю 21-ю по Пятидесятнице, святых отцов VII Вселенского собора, братия Донского Старочеркасского Ефремовского мужского монастыря совершила воскресные Божественные Литургии.
Раннюю Литургию в храме Донской иконы Божией Матери совершил наместник обители игумен Сергий (Коломиц). Позднюю Литургию в храме святых первоверховных апостолов Петра и Павла возглавил благочинный иеромонах Никон (Сандульский). Литургию в монастырском скиту совершил скитоначальник иеромонах Софроний (Зародов).
За богослужениями молились многочисленные паломники из Таганрога и гости с ближних сел и деревень.
Во время богослужений были вознесены особые прощения и молитва о Святой Руси. В завершение богослужений на братской трапезе совершен Чин о Панагии.
- Как переменить мысли и увидеть в препятствиях на пути Божий промысел? - Самой серьёзной болезнью нашего времени являются суетные мысли людей, погружённых в мирскую жизнь. У них может быть всё, что угодно, кроме добрых помыслов. Они страдают, потому что не способны воспринимать обстоятельства духовно. Например, человек едет куда-то на автомобиле. В пути начинает давать сбои двигатель, и он прибывает на место с небольшой задержкой. Имея добрый помысел, опоздавший подумает так: «Вероятно, Благий Бог замедлил меня не случайно. Кто знает: возможно, если бы не эта задержка, я мог бы попасть в аварию! Господи, как мне благодарить Тебя за то, что Ты сохранил меня от беды!» Такой человек славит Бога. А тот, кто не имеет доброго помысла, воспримет случившееся недуховно и начнёт роптать и обвинять Бога: «Что за невезение! Мне нужно было прибыть вовремя, а я опоздал! Всё идёт наперекосяк! И где же этот Бог…»
24 октября 2026 года, в канун 21-ой Недели по Пятидесятнице, отцов VII Вселенского собора, братия Донского Старочеркасского Ефремовского мужского монастыря совершила Всенощное бдение. Богослужение возглавил наместник обители игумен Сергий (Коломиц) в сослужении братии в священном сане.
Песнопения богослужения исполнил мужской хор обители под управлением регента Владимира Лисаченко. Перед чтением канона отец наместник обратился к молящимся со словом проповеди.
