Двум жителям нашего региона присвоено звание «Народный мастер Алтайского края» — подписал соответствующий указ. Это Екатерина Корнилова из Бийска, которая занимается кружевоплетением, а также Юлия Неприятель из Барнаула, которая более 10 лет развивает искусство войлоковаляния.
Екатерина Корнилова создает как классические, так и современные изделия. Уже три года помогает осваивать тонкости своего ремесла в собственной школе в Бийске. Участвует в фестивалях, выставках, конкурсах.
Юлия Неприятель преподает в Алтайском государственном институте культуры, сотрудничает с краевыми музеями и Союзом художников России. Ученики мастера за последние пять лет завоевали свыше 150 дипломов, из них более 50 — за работы в технике войлоковаляния.
Конкурс на звание народного мастера мы ежегодно проводим среди жителей края, которые занимаются сохранением и развитием народных промыслов, живут творчеством и создают настоящие произведения искусства. Искренне восхищаюсь работой земляков, множество раз лично общался с нашими мастерами на ярмарках, фестивалях и других мероприятиях, которые регулярно проводим в крае.
