Команда профессора Цзюнь Инь из Чжэцзянского университета создала трехслойный имплантат с живыми клетками. Крысы с его помощью восстановили седалищный нерв почти как после пересадки собственного. Пишет International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing.
При тяжелых травмах нервные волокна могут не найти путь через разрыв, а мышцы без сигналов постепенно слабеют. Обычно хирурги пересаживают пациенту нерв из другой части тела, но это грозит болью и онемением в месте забора ткани.
Новый имплантат состоит из трех слоев. Прочная внешняя оболочка защищает его, пористый средний слой пропускает кислород и питательные вещества, но сдерживает образование рубцов. Внутри расположены сверхтонкие волокна с живыми шванновскими клетками — они поддерживают нервные волокна и помогают передавать сигналы.
Ученые напечатали эти волокна так, чтобы клетки почти не страдали: выжило более 95%. В опыте имплантат соединил 10-миллиметровый разрыв нерва. Через 16 недель скорость передачи импульсов оказалась почти такой же, как после пересадки собственного нерва, и примерно вдвое выше, чем у обычных пустых трубок. У крыс также лучше сохранились мышцы и координация лап.
