Почему плазма ХОЛОДНАЯ? Отличный вопрос! Это сбивает с толку, потому что «холодная плазма» звучит как оксюморон (как «горячий снег»).
На самом деле, она называется плазмой строго по физическому определению, а «холодной» — потому что горячая только внутри, но не снаружи.
Почему это плазма? Главный признак плазмы — ионизация (электроны отрываются от атомов). В аппарате между электродами подают высокое напряжение, которое разгоняет электроны. Они сталкиваются с молекулами воздуха (или газа) и разрывают их на заряженные частицы (ионы и электроны). Этот газ становится электропроводным — то есть формально это плазма (четвертое состояние вещества).
Почему «холодная» (нежгучая)? В природе плазма (как на Солнце) находится в термодинамическом равновесии — у нейтральных атомов, ионов и электронов одинаковая высокая температура (миллионы градусов). А в аппарате — это неравновесная (холодная) плазма: · Электроны внутри разгоняются до чудовищных скоростей (их температура может достигать ~10 000 °C) — именно они ионизируют газ. · А вот нейтральные атомы и ионы газа и сам поток воздуха остаются холодными (близкими к комнатной температуре). ·Теплоемкость электронов ничтожно мала, а весь остальной газ холодный. Поэтому, когда вы касаетесь струи рукой, вы ощущаете лишь легкое дуновение или покалывание, без ожога.
Такой аппарат дает активные частицы (свободные электроны, озон, перекись), которые мгновенно убивают бактерии и стимулируют клетки кожи, но при этом не сжигают живые ткани. Поэтому его называют «плазменный шовейер» (скальпель) или используют в косметологии для омоложения лица.
То есть название «плазма» — за физическую суть (ионизированный газ), а «холодная» — за безопасную для кожи температуру потока.
