В Шахтах осудили мужчину, который забрал деньги, не зачислившиеся на карту другой посетительницы банкомата. Суд назначил ему год лишения свободы условно. Происшествие случилось 31 июля в одном из торговых центров города. Женщина внесла в банкомат 7 тысяч рублей для пополнения банковской карты. После закрытия купюроприёмника ей пришло СМС от банка. Она решила, что это уведомление об успешном зачислении средств, и ушла, не прочитав сообщение. Вскоре женщина проверила баланс в приложении банка и обнаружила, что деньги на счёт не поступили. Вернувшись к банкомату, она увидела мужчину, который стоял за ней в очереди. Женщина поинтересовалась, не возвращал ли аппарат внесённые деньги. Незнакомец заявил, что ничего об этом не знает.
Позже выяснилось, что мужчина забрал 7 тысяч рублей себе, а женщине сообщил ложную информацию.
В ходе судебного разбирательства шахтинец признал вину. Его приговорили к одному году лишения свободы условно с испытательным сроком на год.
Три года во дворе домов № 19 в переулке Черенкова и № 86 на улице Каляева города Шахты не прекращается утечка воды. Поток пересекает дворовую территорию и доходит до детского сада № 37. Жители домов и руководство дошкольного учреждения неоднократно обращались в Шахтинский водоканал, надеясь добиться устранения аварии. Однако все обращения пока не привели к решению проблемы. По словам жителей, они готовы самостоятельно оплатить замену трубы, но водоканал не разрешает проводить работы за свой счёт.

Шахтинский городской суд обязал Департамент городского хозяйства отремонтировать дорожное покрытие в переулке Минский. Дорога не соответствует требованиям ГОСТ. Выбоины превышают допустимые размеры, затрудняют движение транспорта и создают угрозу безопасности водителей и пешеходов. Прокурор Шахт обратился в суд с требованием обязать ДГХ привести дорогу в порядок. Представитель департамента возражал против удовлетворения иска, объясняя, что на ремонт нет денег. Однако суд не принял этот довод. Отсутствие бюджетного финансирования не освобождает учреждение от обязанности содержать дороги в нормативном состоянии. В августе 2026 года суд удовлетворил иск прокурора. В октябре решение вступило в законную силу. Теперь у ДГХ есть восемь месяцев, чтобы отремонтировать участок переулка Минского.
Депутат Тенгиз Хиникадзе занял пост заместителя председателя городской Думы Шахт. Решение приняли на заседании 26 октября. Кандидатуру депутата, избранного по округу № 19, предложил председатель Думы Максим Голодов. Большинство депутатов поддержали это предложение. Тенгиз Хиникадзе руководит ООО «Завод „Техмаш“». Он работает в городской Думе третий созыв подряд и возглавляет комитет по экономической политике.
Спортсменка из Шахт Алина Щекина завоевала золотую медаль на Кубке Вооружённых сил РФ по военно-прикладному спорту в дисциплине «гиревое многоборье». Соревнования состоялись в Самаре с 20 по 23 октября. Участники состязались в трёх дисциплинах: «Толчок гирь по ДЦ», «Классический толчок» и «Рывок». Итоговые результаты определялись по сумме набранных очков. Алина Щекина показала лучший результат во второй возрастной группе в весовой категории 65 кг. Подготовкой шахтинской спортсменки занимается мастер спорта России Александр Фоменко.
В районе Северного переезда в Шахтах асфальтовое покрытие разрушено из-за воды, которая размывает его на протяжении последних пяти лет. Об этом сообщили местные жители.
Горожане рассказали, что источник воды находится на повороте перед остановкой «Северный переезд». Потоки воды текут на участке от моста напротив бывшей 6-й автобазы до остановки «Красная роза». Ситуацию осложняет интенсивное движение большегрузов по улицам Осоавиахима, Горняцкой, Станционной и Шапкина. Из-за узкого дорожного полотна при разъезде встречных фур одной из них приходится съезжать на обочину, что дополнительно разрушает асфальт.
В начале ноября семьи с детьми в Шахтах получат пособия досрочно. Причиной стал День народного единства 4 ноября, из-за чего первая неделя месяца оказалась короче.
Первыми деньги поступят 3 ноября: получатели увидят единое пособие, выплату по уходу за ребенком до 1,5 года для неработающих родителей, а также ежемесячную поддержку на ребенка военнослужащего по призыву.
5 ноября на счета придут средства из материнского капитала.
Замыкает график 6 ноября — в этот день перечислят пособие по уходу за ребенком до 1,5 года для работающих граждан. Обычно такие выплаты поступают до 8-го числа, но поскольку эта дата выпадает на выходной, деньги придут раньше.
