Он немец родом из Берлина.
Он художник, музыкант и продюсер. Именно в такой последовательности.
Он познакомил Astrid Kirchherr с the Beatles. Она влюбилась в Stuart Sutcliffe, который ушёл из группы и тогда ещё пришёл Ringo Starr.
Он показал George, Ringo, John и Paul как правильно причёсываться по битловски.
Он играл на басу в Manfred Mann, The Hollies, The Moody Blues, Plastic Ono Band и с Lou Reed, Harry Edward Nilsson III, Alan White, James Vernon Taylor, Eric Patrick Clapton, Carly Elisabeth Simon и др.
Он нарисовал обложку битловского альбома Revolver за что в 1966 году был удостоен премии Grammy.
Он был бас гитаристом несостоявшейся группы The Ladders (with George Harrison, Ringo Starr and John Lennon).
Он спродюсировал Neue DeutscheWelle/minimalism/NeueDeutscheFröhlichkeit группу TRIO.
И это даже совсем не всё. Вот с таким бекграундом жил себе Klaus Voormann до 70 лет и не было у него ни одной авторской имени себя грампластинки. А потом он, наверное, по друзьям соскучился (Paul McCartney, Albert Lee, Dr. John, Bonnie Bramlett, Ringo Starr, Don Preston etc) и решил с ними потусоваться, вспомнить молодость. И записали они альбом. Первый сольный Klaus Voormann - A Sideman's Journey (2009). Он там, кстати, только на басу играет (в 9 из 11 песен) и обложку нарисовал. Скромняга.
