Вечером 28 октября полицейские попытались остановить «девятку» на улице Климова, но водитель проигнорировал требование. Началась погоня.
По данным полиции, у дома № 14 на улице Ленина подросток не справился с управлением, выехал на тротуар и врезался в дерево. После аварии он скрылся, но позже его нашли и задержали.

За последние годы при поддержке правительства области в городе приведено к нормативу более 176 км дорог, отремонтированы все ключевые мосты и путепроводы, построено 8 новых транспортных развязок.
Одним из самых масштабных проектов остаётся строительство моста дублёра через Транссибирскую магистраль. Проект получил положительное заключение госэкспертизы. Но сейчас его реализация находится в стадии ожидания. Это связано с приоритетами федерального уровня. В стране сейчас строят много важных объектов, и финансирование распределяют поэтапно, чтобы довести до конца каждый из них.

По версии следствия, 39-летний мастер допустил многочисленные нарушения безопасности и поручил молодому человеку работу, для которой у того не было нужной квалификации.
В декабре 2025 года на стройке прошёл обыск, следователи изъяли документы. Расследование завершено, уголовное дело о нарушении требований промышленной безопасности, повлёкшем смерть человека, передали в суд.
