Why deepagents uses rg (ripgrep) at all: it's built for coding agents that search large code repos. There ripgrep makes a big difference:

it's native code that searches many files in parallel, and fast on thousands of files;
it follows .gitignore, so it skips node_modules and build output;
it skips binary files.
